Huawei Unveils 'Seeds for the Future 2025': Empowering Global Talent

Kathmandu, May 12 -- Huawei Nepal has officially opened applications for its global flagship CSR programme 'Seeds for the Future 2025' for Nepali students. The initiative, aimed at cultivating digital talent under the theme 'Building a Fully Connected, Intelligent World by Cultivating Digital Talent', specifically targets undergraduate students studying Information Technology in colleges and universities across Nepal.
Huawei Nepal announced that eligible and interested students can apply from May 8 to 25. "This programme is intended for undergraduate Bachelor's and is designed for those interested in innovation, digitalisation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange," the company said in a statement.
This represents the sixth iteration of the program in Nepal, which commenced operations in 2019. Up until now, 150 Nepalese students have taken part in this initiative. According to the firm, candidates will undergo selection via a comprehensive assessment conducted by a judging committee.
The highest-achieving students will have the opportunity to go to China for advanced training sessions and regional contests. During their time in China, they will join workshops centered around state-of-the-art technology advancements and gain guidance from mentors at Huawei as well as specialists from abroad.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their business concepts and connect with digital experts hailing from more than 100 nations. As stated by Huawei, the attendees will likewise get insights into recent advancements in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, 5G, Green Tech, and various other cutting-edge digital fields.
Introduced in 2008 in Thailand, Seeds for the Future has supported over 19,000 students from 142 nations worldwide.
